Itinerary

Phra That Doi Kham Temple, also known as Wat Phra That Doi Kham, is a beautiful Buddhist temple located on a hilltop in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The temple is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and cityscape, as well as its large golden chedi (stupa) which contains relics of the Buddha. Visitors to the temple can also admire beautiful murals, intricate carvings, and other decorations, as well as a large statue of the Buddha. Phra That Doi Kham Temple is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike and is especially popular during the annual Songkran festival in April.

Wat Pa Dad, formerly known as Wat Don Khao, is located in Pa Dad sub-district near the west side of Ping River. It is well-cared for and decorated in Lanna art, with delicate gold stucco and beautiful murals depicting important Buddha images from other temples in the Northern part of Thailand. The temple has a principal Buddha image, two gold pavilions, and a chedi decorated with a 7-tiered umbrella. The image hall of Phra Phikanet (Ganesha) is also present, as well as a two-story cement building housing the scripture library. Despite being less historically significant than other temples in Chiang Mai, Pa Dad Temple boasts exquisite architecture and is patronized by several respected businessmen and celebrities.
